Design, build, maintenance and SEO. One freelance developer in Klang Valley, 4+ years in, 25+ sites live.

  1. Design

Starts with a call about what the site is for and who it's for. Then wireframes, then a Figma design for desktop and phone that you approve before any code is written. Layout, type and colour that fit your brand, or a clean system if you don't have one yet. Custom when the brand needs it, a clean template when it doesn't.

Discovery call · Wireframes · Figma design, desktop and mobile · Two revision rounds · Design files are yours

  2. Build

On the platform that fits the job, and I say which in the quote. Fast on phones, sharp on any screen, editable without me. You get a private staging link while it's being built, then domain, analytics and a handover walkthrough at launch.

    • Shopify

Stores. Products, payments, shipping and stock, on a theme built or customised for you.

    • WordPress

Content sites you edit yourself. Always a custom theme I build, never a bought one, so there is less to break and it stays easy to maintain.

    • Webflow

Marketing sites that have to look sharp and stay easy to update.

    • WooCommerce

A shop inside WordPress, on the same custom theme, when you want content and products in one place.

    • Next.js

Custom builds. The fastest option, fully yours, with a CMS if you'll edit often.

Platform setup · Responsive build · Forms, payments and stock where needed · Staging link · Launch and walkthrough

  3. Maintenance

A monthly plan that keeps the site up to date, backed up and secure, with time every month for small changes and content updates. If something breaks, it gets fixed first. Also for sites I didn't build, after a short audit of what's there.

Core, plugin and theme updates · Backups · Security and uptime checks · Small changes · Priority fixes

  4. SEO/AEO

On-page SEO so Google finds the site, and Answer Engine Optimisation so AI assistants can quote it: page structure, titles and descriptions, speed, structured data and FAQ markup. Search Console and analytics set up at launch, then a short report every month on what moved and what to do next.

Technical audit · Keyword mapping · Structured data · Search Console and analytics · Monthly report

Questions

Starting

How does a project start?

Email me what the site is for, who it's for and what you already have: logo, copy, photos, an existing site. We talk once, then you get a fixed quote and a timeline. A deposit books the start date.

What is the process?

Plan, design, build, launch. Plan: pages, content and references agreed in writing. Design: in Figma, approved before any code. Build: on a private staging link you can click through as it grows. Launch: domain, analytics, handover and a walkthrough.

What do you need from me?

Your logo, the words for each page and any photos. Decisions when I ask for them. Most delays on a website are waiting for content, so we sort that out before design starts.

Do you write the copy or take the photos?

I shape and shorten the copy you give me and pick stock photos where needed. Full copywriting or a photo shoot is quoted separately or handed to someone who does that for a living.

Do you work outside Klang Valley?

Yes. Email and calls cover most of it. I meet in person around Klang Valley when it helps.

Money

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the pages, the features and the platform. A brochure site is the cheapest. A store with payments, shipping and stock, or a custom build, costs more. Send a short brief and you get a fixed price in Ringgit, not an hourly estimate.

How do payments work?

Half to book the start date, half on launch. Longer builds are split into milestones so nothing big is due at once.

Are there ongoing costs?

Yes, but not to me unless you want maintenance. Domain, hosting and platform fees such as Shopify or Webflow are paid by you, on your own accounts, so you own them. I set them up and tell you what each one costs before you commit.

What about revisions?

Two rounds on the design are included. Bugs are fixed free, always. Changes to what we agreed after approval are quoted before I do them.

Building

How long does a website take?

A simple site, two to four weeks. A store or a custom Next.js build, six to ten weeks. The biggest variable is how fast content and feedback come back.

Which platform should I use?

Shopify for a store. WordPress or WooCommerce if you want to edit everything yourself and have a lot of pages. Webflow for a marketing site that has to look sharp. Next.js when it has to be custom, fast and yours. I recommend one in the quote and say why.

Can you work on my existing site?

Yes, on any of those platforms. I audit it first: speed, security, SEO and what is worth keeping. Then you get a quote for the work, which is sometimes a fix and sometimes a rebuild.

Will I be able to edit it myself?

Yes. WordPress, Shopify and Webflow come with editors. On Next.js I add a CMS if you will be changing content often. Handover includes a walkthrough of exactly where everything is.

After launch

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain, hosting and platform accounts are in your name, and the code and design files are yours once the final invoice is paid.

What happens after launch?

Thirty days of fixes are included. After that, maintenance is a monthly plan: updates, backups, security, small changes, and a report if SEO is part of it. No plan is fine too. Email me when something breaks and I'll quote it.

Where is the site hosted?

Next.js on Vercel, WordPress on a managed host, Shopify and Webflow on their own platforms. All of it on your accounts.

SEO and AEO

What does SEO include?

On-page work: page structure, titles and descriptions, speed, structured data, Search Console and analytics set up, then a monthly report of what moved. I don't sell rankings. Nobody can guarantee a position on Google.

What is AEO?

Answer Engine Optimisation: writing and marking up pages so AI assistants and Google's AI answers can quote them. Clear headings, direct answers and FAQ markup, like this page.
